History
The land on which The Country Place sits is one of the most historic locations in The Dandenong Ranges. The first settlers came here. Several of the most popular early guest houses were located here with Shiloah being situated on Link Road near our car park. The famous Cobb & Co Coach stopped here on its way to Melbourne.
The Gardens
The Country Place is surrounded by magnificent gardens. Rhododendrons, camellias, azaleas and a wide range of native plants form our gardens. Feel free to wander in the gardens end enjoy the flowering native bushes that provide habitat for the local native birds and flowers for the venue.
The Alpacas

Meet our friendly and curious alpaca. The Country Place has just a few for your enjoyment. At our sister property Flowerdale Estate we breed over 400 alpaca and are recognized as one of Australia's premier breeders of quality livestock and fine alpaca fleece.
